  • Its Friday, all but 2 of the guys have been sent home but for some reason, instead of kickin' back and relaxing my thoughts drift back Stateside... having alot of homesickness brought on by my uncle's recent stroke.  Its not too serious but the chances of having a 2nd one are very high.  I'm really close the big guy and with John passing away in December... I don't know but its tough.  Anyway, there's nothing I can really do about it from here but try to occupy my time and do something to pass the time like... twiddling my thumbs... hey!  This is fun.. oops  hehe, messed up, here I'll try agai...  doh!  Oh well, enough of that.

Tomorrow I'm going to try and go see National Treasure, I haven't heard anything about it, anyone?

Next week is finals for the guys, so that means everyone will be stressed *sigh*, to the English-teaching weygooks, how fare your exams?

  • I haven't been for actual mardi gras either I was there the week after it one year and then I go in the summer with my friend, you need to make that trip at least once in your life, it's a great time especially if you get to know some locals.  Anyway, I hope that the homesickness passes..... I haven't heard anything about the movie, let me know if it's good because I wanted to see it before I left

  • National Treasure, yes good movie! For the first time, I was really excited about taking US History [no offence to all you patriots out there], and knowing all the stuff they talked about in the movie. Hope you like it!~

  • yep national treasure is good..i want to see it again...

school life, yes. good things this is art school and i dont have any tests or papers...not really anyways.

you'll be back soon...to the states...enjoy the other countries while you can...do you know what you are going to do when you get back.

  • hello...i haven't talked to you in forever, but i saw your name on stephen's xanga. hope you are enjoying yourself.

  • Ah, My exams are far, far, away...like one at the end of the month and then a ton in the mid of feb. my midterms will be spread out this semester. pray for me... ETHNOGRAPHY may be the end of me!!!!!!!!!!

  • Did you know that Christopher Lee once talked with J.R.R. Tolkien (obviously before he died, lol) and Tolkien told him that if they ever made the Lord of the Rings into a motion picture (or a play; I'm not sure now) that Tolkien gave Christopher his blessing in acting as Gandalf.... funny that he ended up being one of Gandalf's enemies, lol

I wish to know how much you know about the whole world of Tolkien... I'm seeking a "like-minded" person with whom I can have "intelligable" conversations.... don't get me wrong (I'm not claiming anything for myself) but I find that my personal interests are rare among those who attend Toccoa Falls College, LOL.

Did you know that I'm creating my own World? I bet you never thought that I was more crazy than you already thought of myself, LOL

  • Crazy hangman??  What do you mean??  Believe me I think it is a VERY unwise choice to go down to mardi gras to get drunk and sleep with strangers but if you actually get to know the locals you avoid that crowd and get to know a lot more about the city than any tourist can tell you.  It has a lot of history and is really fascinating.  I am glad your friend is down there helping, my best friend is a 1st grade teacher in MI and we always talk about how different the schools are comparatively.

  • The riot started because one boy was helping the other keep the letters straight for the word he was using.  They just got crazy mad for something I didn't think was a huge deal.... but I guess I was wrong.  How was the movie?

  • That is a bummer, Lotte was CRAZY when I was there a few saturdays ago, I hope you get to see it!  I think I am going to rent a movie instead of braving the crowd.....

  • National Treasure was pretty interesting.  There were lots of "hee" moments.  But it kind of screamed Dan Brown.  Knights Templar, hidden treasure, etc.  I haven't read Angels and Demons yet, but from what I've heard about it, you could be pretty close to the truth.

Give it time, eventually, you'll just be walking down the street, minding your own business, enjoying a steaming cup of garlic silkworm and some Korean lass will pull you over and ask you for coffee.

  • Thanks for the comment..

  • nope...haven't interviewed with that family sign business yet...I'll call on Monday...you need a new xanga post
