  • QUICK STORY:  Just thought I'd write something...

    "Frog Tales"

There once was a frog, whom we will call Todd, who lived with his brother and sisters in the peaceful Riverville.  Each day Todd enjoyed hopping across the lilly pads to see the strange sights of what unexplored territory.

"Silly mum, she never knew what the world was like." Todd thought to himself as he reflected the numerous times the warty Mrs. Frog had warned her beloved tadpoles that danger lurked just past the riverbank and that safety was living in the water.  "If we was made for living in the water how come us Frogs can breath and enjoy the upper land?"  Mrs. Frog never had a good enough answer for Todd, but little did the tadpoles know that years of experience had proven her correct.  For unbeknownst to other Frogs, the Mrs. was formerly a pet shop frog!  She had seen the cruelty of the giants but luck would have it she escaped one day down the contraption she had heard repeatedly referred to by the giants as "the toilet".  Yes, Mrs. Frog had experienced much but to convey it to her children brought back many harsh memories of being trapped in a prison and forced to eat the most horacious food frogs would ever have to endure.  That was years ago and Todd happily plip-plopped through the river banks ignoring his mother's pleas in his amphibious ears.  He was free!  Yes, life was meant to be enjoyed to the fullest... or so he thought.

"Whhhhhheeerreee  arrrreee  yoooou gooooingggg, Todddd?" said Mr. Turtle, Todd, let out a small eek as he, along with most of the residents of Riverville, dreaded any encounter with the Turtles.  The Turtle family aside from being the oldest residents of Riverville were also her slowest.  A simple conversation was known to take hours.  As the impatient Todd quickly hightailed it towards the high grass, pretending he had not heard the greeting over the gurgling stream, alas, the high hopping Todd was too far way to hear the warning Mr. Turtle tried to convey...

SUNDAY... ALL WAS WELL:  Ummm... yeah.  Monday (the day off... ahhh) has begun!  North Korea is still making loud barking noises... life goes on down here in the South.  Take it easy!
