  • ITS OBVIOUSLY BUSH'S FAULT:
I heard on talk radio, someone made an excellent point, allow me to
paraphrase.  USA runs to the aid of countries when they have
natual disasters with money and help... who is running to ours in the
    aftermath of Katrina?

Its amazing to me to see people
actually blaming the president for this disaster?  These people
are of course citing how the US has backed out of Kyoto, increased
pollution which has led to global warming which produced Katrina.
However, their "science argument" is faulty.

Nobody has to wonder why the youth of today has a negative view of
politcs when all you hear about is the constant bickering and
infighting...  its a shame our leaders are no more than little
children.  I've learned one thing, despite my feelings about what
he did, I owe Bill Clinton an appology because republicans are getting
exactly what democrats faced with him... except president Bush hasn't
    perjured himself.

    TESTING, TESTING, 1.. 2..:
I took my first Psych exam, I think I bombed it.  Many of the
questions came from the lectures and not from the book.  I
approached the prof after class about a week ago and asked her about
that very thing and I was told that most of the questions would be from
the book *sigh* I am not very efficient when it comes to taking notes
from a speaker unless I have some kind of outline to follow.  I
told her that I have already failed her class.  Afterward I had my
Intro to Computer exam, finished it in 10 minutes, and got a 98%
    Woo hoo!

  • yeah, that is what the article title looked like. i never noticed that before.

i do think it's kinda odd that we are having such a hard time controlling and bringing aid to a city in our own country. it's utter chaos there, and days go by and the news reports stay the same. people dying, just pushed up against a wall, a sheet thrown over them, or bodies just left in the street. the looters still starting fires and shooting at emergency personnel. last i heard FEMA still hadn't set up a control post there. where's the brains behind the operation?? i wouldn't blame Bush for it.

  • What I heard was that Bush reduced funding which was being used to pay the Army Corps of Engineers to build the levy system which would have protected the area (more) from hurricanes. Still, it's a bit short-sighted to blame Bush.

Canada offered aid...just so you know

  • Actually many countries are running to give us both financial aid as well as medical supplies and personnel, including Cuba, who will probably be turned down as they are dirty commies. And I hate to disagree (or do I) but from what I've seen the government is a whole lot slower to react to this disaster than they have some man made ones... but that could be 'cause we can go and bomb the heck out of God for causing this disaster.

  • I so agree!  The first people responsible for dealing with the aftermath is the governer and Mayor and they did super crappy jobs.  However, nobody is blaming them.  I don't get it.  Yesterday at the hair salon, this person was commenting how our "president is obviously a racist, b/c he's letting all the black people die."  Then, in the same breath, she is talking about how we need to get out of iraq, b/c the arabs aren't worth it and will never change.  Hello!  Double standard!  Makes me so mad!  Why can't people think for themselves for once!
