  • HAIKU FRIDAY!!! (TRIPLE DUECE EDITION)

    I don’t rap too good,
    and my rhymes are cheesy
    no bling for sheezy.

    If I were this guy
I would have a lot to say
    how I love Wal-Mart.

    Oh, where’s my huli?
    Hawaiian chicken goodness,
    Anna ate it all!

Ah, I feel better already.  It rained yesterday so I couldn’t work but today looks to be a kiler.

  • THE VIEW IS NICE FROM HERE
After my interview down at TFC Monday I ran into the world famous Dan Hood.  It was one of the greatest pleasures in my life.  Really.  I’m so envious of those of you in Korea who get to be around him No, not because he’s Dan Hood but that he’s related to Virginia Hood.  Yep, she’s all that.  If I had a sister like Virginia I know I couldn’t go wrong.  How I miss our little philosophy chit chats and how well she and Drew fit my stereotype of English majors.

    (Random Chris shoutout)

The interview was a killer, Matt and Amy double-teamed me.  I’ve had some weird and bad interviews in my life but this was close to worst.  They were asking me questions I had no idea how to answer.  So rolling with the punches I tried my best… I never got into my groove and confidence slipped quicker than the president’s approval rating.  I will know by next Monday if I got the job.  What is the worst interview anyone had?  Here are my top three:

    1. GeoTrack:  Started out okay but after hearing them explain all my responsibilities I tried to tell them that they were probably looking for someone more qualified because I had no idea how to do anything they were describing me.  End result – Hired.

    2. TFC:  It was hot and I was wishing I had put on more deodorant, half praying sweat stains would not appear while explaining my long term professional goals and how I would evaluate a high school transcript.  End result – Pending.
    3. TCIS:  After a hard day’s work and study for senior paper *shudder* I crawled into my bed around 2am hoping that the next day will be better when the phone rings and its the boarding director wanting to interview me.  Brain had already shut down, wish I had tape recorded my answers because I have no idea what I told him.  End result – Hired.

Ironically, these are my most recent jobs… Lord I hope this is not a developing trend.

  • BACK ON-LINE
After a long wait, xanga is now permissible.  Woohoo!  Lord willing no more having to go weeks w/o haikus on Friday.  This Friday’s will be a doozy, watch with bated breath.

    WORKING FOR A LIVING
While living in Korea, one of the stipulations is that we cannot hold a secondary job (such being paid to teach English at a hogwan).  However, Werner Van Wyk, the middle school dorm dad from South Africa, is a true genius when it comes to loopholes.  If he can’t have a secondary job in SK then he’ll work for even more money in the US like everyone else.

Do illegal immigrants keep America moving?  Werner thinks so.

    OFFICE SPACE
Going for my job interview at 3 for the position of Data Mangagement Coordinator at Toccoa Falls College.  As Virginia Hood informed the world, her brother Dan is graduating in three weeks!  It will be sad that one less Hood will reside at TFC.  Speaking of hoods, I was shocked to learn that the tiny town of Toccoa has five known gangs residing within its spacious borders… I will check to see if CMA Bible Quizzers are one of the them.  Wish me luck.

  • DISGRACED
I truly missed out on Haiku Friday… and I had a great one planned, guess it’ll have to wait until next week.  Sorry, B.  Must get back to cleaning up the church building.

    MAN AT WORK
Coming soon… What I do for a job, since working with dirt is not enough explaination for some people, I’ll have some pictures of where I work and what I do.

  • REUNION
This past Saturday was good to see some old faces like her, her, her, her, HannahWitta, and last but not least Kathryn “Big Mac” McMurdo.  UNO was the game of choice over coffee at Java Station… fun discussions of LOST and Hawaiian food goodness.

    USE YOUR NOGGIN’
Today’s A&P test was on the central nervous system.  Midway through it hit me that I was having to use my brain to learn and know about the brain.  One of those weird paradoxes I guess.  Anyone know a philosopher?  Not sure how to explain it but it was like that scene when Keanu witnesses Morpheus jump across the skyscraper.

     HOUSING ALLOWANCE
Rachel and I found a place we really like… 1 bed/ 1bathroom and very very spacious.  I won’t say anymore until its finalized.  I’m heading home.  That’s all I got, remember that.

  • HAIKU FRIDAY!

    Spring break is over
no beach, no sleep-in, I worked.
    Good bye good Spring break.

Shoutout to Kristi getting married tomorrow.

I’m feeling the love with your comments, problem is that Integrity Online (yes, having probs with my Integrity is not good) has blocked me from posting or replying… so I have to either use the school computer or my boss’ when he’s not here ^^  I’m not ignoring you, Chris, Christine, Virginia, or Der Iron Chef.  You know I got nothing but loves for all of you out there.

  • KOSHER SMOSHER
Okay, our church group is having a Passover meal this Sunday evening.  We were all asked to bring some food and I replied I would bring the ham and bacon… does this make me evil?

  • ASSOCIATE TO REGISTER 3!
At school waiting my turn to sign up for A&P II for summer session.  I honestly do NOT want to take the class… in fact I really do NOT want to be in school for the summer.  Call me a product of the American Education System but summers are for sleeping in while parents slave off to work at the crack of dawn.  Thankfully I am no parent but I fear reality is rearing its big ol’ back hand to give me a pleasant dose of reality.

    ON THE ROAD AGAIN
A while ago I posted that about being somewhat stuck in the cul-de-sac on the road of life… still there but realizing why I am at this point, God has opened my eyes to some really amazing things about me and Him.  when I figure it all out, I’ll sit down to explain the mystery of why.

    INTE-GRITY TRUTH
Yeah I was addicted to xanga… going without was quite a shocker but slowly getting used to it.  Sadly, eBay was also blocked (my #1 source for all gifts).  I’ll definitely have to get that unblocked.

    Wedding countdown: 59 days 23 hours 15 minutes…. mark.
