  • HAIKU FRIDAY
    Saturday workday?
Bah!  Tis no such thing, I will
    count inventory.

    dwar-712231 WORKING ON A SATURDAY
Rachel has been under the weather lately so instead of traveling 5 hours south for the Gray family reunion Rachel will be in bed while I get to count our inventory stock… It’ll be overtime but working Saturdays is not cool.  I was looking forward to haning out with Curtis and Richard but being married means taking care of wife when she is not well.  She offered me to go down without her but that would have cost me loads of points.  What points, you ask?  Well, when I earn enough points I can cash ‘em in for the title of worlds greatest hubby, currently though I am still stuck on “Sugar Daddy” but that will change after this weekend, fo’ sho!  Anyway if you stop to think about it, please remember Rach in your prayers.  Spread the love.

  • IMG_0257  ITS HARD TO SAY GOODBYE
I’ve been trying to sort my pictures during the last couple of days and
it is difficult as memories flood my mind as I look into the faces and
places I have seen over the last several years.  After
reading Chris’ adventure through China, Mongolia and Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway the travel bug has been buzzing around our apartment.  However, as Rach and I like to say “Someday when they build the dock that will build our ship so that it can cross the sea to come in” then we can do whatever.  Thank you, Dave Ramsey.  Because of you I’ll be alot more wealthier in 40 years when I am too old to even consider flying anywhere *sobs*.

  • I enjoy my job.  It is not too taxing on the brain leaving me with ample about of time to thought wander while I work.  Yesterday I tried to solve some of the deep mysteries of the world, such as: why can’t the mideast stop fighting?  What is God doing in my life today and what does He want me to do?  Lastly, were times really so tough for Laurence Fishburne back in the 80s to star in Pee-Wee’s Playhouse?

If I ever dressed like that I think I would ask Tank to load the jump program too.

  • zidane29b I watched the final of the World Cup on Sunday at Curtis’ house  (Good show Italy, bad show Zadane) and the infamous headbutt in the waning minutes of the final match.  This is comedy.  Some people have waaay too much time on their hands.

Work has been good but I have developed a pain in my knuckles from sanding and shipping the posts.  Praying for a healing would be nice.  Enjoy the clip.

ps. I did not make it.

  • BREAKING THROUGH THE WALL
Today at work I was thinking about my boss.  No I do not think about my boss that much save that he is a godly man and blessed indeed.  During break the other day he came in and told us about how he is going to China soon to meet with the manager of a factory who will be producing some corbels for him.  He’s been studying up on business styles in China and learned that it is customary to exchange gifts at the conclusion of the arrangement so Leon is planning on giving him a gold digging kit and a book that explains the gospel.  Leon plans on giving it to him to read so that the manager can learn Leon’s values and standards in his business decisions and personal life.  He has traveled frequently to many different countries on business trips.

Its always a blessing to see God use people mightily for His Kingdom.  Sometimes I get easily frustrated and wonder what God is doing in my life.  It seems like He moves slower than molasses around me while others he just *poofs* instantly changes and uses mightily.  So today I was wondering if there was anything in my life blocking God.  I am still pondering different areas and nothing concrete has jumped out waving red flags.  In the end, I hope that the purpose of my life  is to be more than just a warning to others.

If there was something, not sin, hindering  your walk, would you sacrifice it?  What is it?  Where is the line between spirit of the law versus letter (legalism)?

  • TIME FOR A COKE BREAK
Three people arrested for trying to steal the recipe for Coca-Cola and sell them to rival Pepsi, their first court appearance is on Thursday (for the full story go here).  In Atlanta that’s worthy of the death penalty.

BTW, for the record, I still believe Timmy Rhodes will start a chapter of the Lambda Lambda Lambda fraternity at TFC.

  • HAPPY 4TH TO YOU
Apu2 A wise man once said, “Celebrate the independance of your country by blowing up a small part of it.”  Ahh good Apu. Happy July 4th to everyone, especially our Northern neighbors who have not attempted to have thrown off the complete yoke of British Imperialism yet.  Sometime today I will cross the state line and purchase some small arms fireworks.  Freedom is good

A day off work is always a welcome thing, being able to sleep in until
10 and enjoying breakfast in bed (which consisted of homemade waffles
with peanut butter and syrup).  My wife is the best. Things at the apartment are going well, except for a leaky airconditioning and the dry wall in our bathroom needing repair and threat of ceailing falling in any second… Rachel and I have decided to stay (after we get renter’s insurance).
