I know where Rachel and I’ll be for my birthday next year. Woohoo!
Rachel started her second and last year into her Master’s level classes. I’m still working at Osborne’s working hard attempting, but not having much success climbing the short ladder there and paying bills. Same old same old with me… how much longer? We will see. We’ve decided to fly up to Minnesota for Christmas to be with her extended family (pray for excellent snowmobiling weather). Would’ve been nice to drive through Chicago and seen our friends Rachel and Jared, but 20 hours in a car… no thank you.
The school year started back up at TFC and students returned. It was good to see some familiar faces from last year. I’m looking forward to starting up the fall semester with an excellent group of kids in my Sunday school class. They are pretty awesome. I have taught horrible/boring lessons but they do not care. As long as there is snack afterwards all is forgiven.

what age do you teach sunday school to?
yah, david said that he saw you at church. i think he is catching a ride up with brian & karen (butz) jordan. they are in/helping with the wedding.
i would love to move back to hawaii soon. i have really been thinking about just buying a house out there in a couple of years, a house where there is a guest house or something, so mom and dad can move back there sometime to retire and friends to come and visit
my dad also suggested getting a teaching certificate…so i can have the summers to travel or whatever you know. so i am excited about the possibilities.
about the hurricane, we left hilo at 3ish and later on that night in hilo there were a couple of earthquakes. but besides that, no rain, no anything hit. it was windy on the other island where we were for 2 more days, but nothing bad at all, thank goodness.
