Dan and I went to see I Am Legend last night. I was disappointed that it strayed from the book, it was a pretty depressing movie and the creatures looked like they were done by amateurs, too CGI’ed and not “real”. The book deals with the legend behind vampires (in the movie, they were savage creatures who ate people but burned when hit with sunlight), every night the vampires come to Neville’s house wanting to get him but he plants garlic and crosses all over the yard to keep them at bay. In the movie he hides out in a house and the creatures do not know where he is. In the book there was Cortman, the antagonist who continually calls for Neville to come out, in the movie, he does not exist. I do not want to spoil the ending in case the two people who read this decide to go out and see it but it strays from the book as well, big time. My suggestion, go to the matinee and save a buck.

Am I one of the two people who read this?? Anyways I do. And I thought about going to see it and then I got the ending spoiled so I probably won’t.
hmm~~ not sure i will make it to see even the matinĂ©e~~ but yeah, ive also thought about skipping the ‘kite runner’ movie since usually im disappointed when movies are much different from the books~
hey man~ not sure about tips on how to enjoy non-fiction. i just like hearing peoples stories. not all of them for sure. but certain ones get me. im a sucker for memoirs. ‘a million little pieces’ was so intense and crazy. and graphic. and he admitted he exaggerated later, but still, i dont know. maybe you just have to find the right one.
i did see the golden compass today with my dad. the def. falls into the fantasy realm. i know its gotten some bad press from some catholic/christian circles, but i enjoyed it. actually i was surprised that some people would say its anti-christian. but yeah, have you seen the preview or thought about that one?
