  • My day off... ahhh

WESTERN POLITICS:  Ahhh... got the 4th season of The West Wing while in China... life is good.  Truly a interesting show that causes one to reflect what one truly believes in the political field.

KNOW THY ENEMY:  I decided to research sinus infections and I was alarmed to learn that 1 in 7 people suffer with sinus problems.  I suppose the 6 people around me need to start giving me props for takin' it for the team.

COMMUNISTS IN THE DORM:  After a trip to Beijing, I brought back some nice gifts for David and Johann.  The Chinese guard hats bring out their more disciplined half.  I don't know what their parents will think.

"By Lenin's beard we vow to crush the Capitalist swine and push them back into the sea!"

It was weird to think that at my age my parents never had even dreamed of visiting China (with the Vietnam war going on).  It is such an astonishing thought.  As neat as it was, it wasn't my favorite place to visit.  Maybe someday I'll try out the beaches of Thailand, I hear they are the best.

  • Nice hats!  Did you get some good shopping in aside from the West Wing purchase??  I see why you love Songton so much now, that was FUN and an adventure I will plan on again sometime.  It was SO weird to blend in though, it was nice to return to my little apartment and get looked at like a freak again, ahhh....gotta love it :~)

  • Oh I gotta get me boys those hats . . . outrageous . . . hope you had a good time in China.

  • hmmm...you have me craving starrrrrbucckkss....  Thank goodness for Korean holidays I am going over there later.  I thought about going BACK to Songton today but I thought I better not wear out the niceness of it.  Plus, I still have to recover from my culture shock.  I found the nice phone cards to! YAY!  I even found a cheap one so I can call the UK and see how my friend is doing there.  ANyway, have a great day!
