  • SICK OF IT ALL:  Today in
Medical Terminology, I almost got sick looking at all the pictures of
veins all-the-while trying to memorize disorders and illness (I was
hoping all the smelly bowls of ramyun from the dorm would have given me
    an iron stomach)
Ironic that I am going into a health-related career but veins and blood
still get to me (the sad part was they were just drawings).  So I
had to leave the classroom to get some
    air, ah freedom.

    MEDICAL TERM YOU WON’T FORGET.

    SECOND THOUGHTS:  I can
see this class will be a thorn in my side, so I am praying for the
strength to persevere through.  I really want to start my
observations because these classes are so not interesting.  Though
I am enjoying my Intro to Computer class because I get to see all the great and wonderful people
who post on my site.  Back to the class, get this, the prof
calls on me like 2-3 times every class to answer a question or if I
    could do
something meanwhile my hand isn’t raised… I guess she knows I’m
someone who will understand her computer humor.  Today she was
telling how a dot-matrix printer is a type of impact printer.  She then
asked me what I would do with one, I replied, “chuck it out a window
and buy a laser jet.”  She found that funny ^^

  • teacher’s pet, teacher’s pet. ;)

  • Is this for school?

  • Oops – sorry – I was skipping lines. Wow – veins. I assume that’s for another 4 months? Have fun. Snicker.

  • Oh, I’ve got a question for you, since you’re studying veins: Why are some veins visibly blue, while others purple-ish. Is blood not red? Or are these veins blue and purple because the blood passing through them have met oxygen? Confused.

  • trying to stick to 1200-1400 a day.  So, what do you think mr. medical student?

  • Hmmm…I can deal with other people’s blood but not my own.  I cut my finger with a knife while I was cooking the other day and I almost had a panic attack.

Ryc: haha, I guess I take the good with the bad, right?  I can’t always get upgraded to first class

  • Who the heck in SK is sad?  And i do not envy your student status one bit, yuck…have fun with that.

  • yeah…i love being the GREAT link…that’s RIGHT. another amazing entry!!!!!! i’ll catch up to you one day my friend.

  • Hehehehe… I think that’s the English-Teacher-in-Korea credo.  If you’re not insane, you’re in the wrong line of business!

I’ve been meaning to ask.. how are you adjusting to life away from the Land of the Morning Calm (because it certainly isn’t any other time of day)?

  • hey there!  i hope to graduate in either may or the following december.  we shall see…  so where are you?  taking classes?  what school?  my roommate is an official nurse now!  woohoo.    so, i get a little queazy too.

  • I’m heading home in two and a half weeks!  WOO HOO!!! I re-signed my contract at the school for another year.  My last, I think.  I’ve been thinking about going back to school, to work toward an M.A.  We shall see =)

  • Hi Will!  There was hackey-sacking at the retreat, no worries!  Keep up with the studies!
