  • PAPER CUTS:  Libraries and I do NOT get along. Period.  Trying to research a topic is a serious pain in the arse.  Currently trying to write a paper about stem cell research, I have spent nearly 3 hours looking for books, magazines, anything to put down as a source… even thought about asking the old guy in the corner wearing the fishing hat (they’re in every library).  This whole paper/library anxiety episode started back during my senior year at college… For my senior paper *shudder* I spent 7-8 hours in the library a day, six days a week for the whole semester only to fail the class.  Yeah, I missed out on some fun times with my friends… I hate writing papers.  So everyone used to tell me that I should be a writer but I quickly put a stop to that.  Ugh!  Just thinking about senior year just raises my blood pressure… I think I need a milkshake.

CLEMSON FOOTBALL:  Yep, its game week here in Clemson.  I so cannot wait.  Getting away from it all in Death Valley for a few hours is heaven to me… the game starts at 8pm so no sun burns… of course I’ll have to get up early the next day to make it to community group.  The more I visit Clemson Community Fellowship the more I like it, its very very small and Ken is pretty cool and outgoing… I was talking to him the other day and he was practically begging me to take him to one of the Clemson home games this season.  I doubt Rachel can/wants to go to all the games.  During my free/procrastinating time I’ve been reading about some of the offseason changes to the team’s practices, learning about the players, who they are, where they are from… now some women in the world thing this is a silly waste of time and others think its pathetic.  However, last Sunday, mom, nana, Rachel and I were over at Dyar’s restaraunt and the next table to us there was this dad who was explaining to his 5 year old son that he and his mommy will be gone to the game and that he will have to be in bed early.  Now I’m normally not a outgoing person but I started talking to him about the game, where he was sitting and whatnot.  Who knew such things really pull people together… Thanks God ^^  So if you are like aforementioned person then  on you… that’s my word, take it foo!

  • so when did you and Rachel elope??? I must have missed it.

  • Can’t you look at journals online?  You know, Toccoa had lexis-Nexis and all that stuff.  For example, I’ve taken 5 classes so far in graduate studies at TSU, written no telling how many papers in that time and I have yet to walk into the TSU library.  I do all my research online, and it saves a ton of time.

  • I love love love libraries. Am I sick?

  • ask the librarian they are there for a reason!!!  they know things that can help you and not waste your time.

    yours truly,

    future librarian christine
