CATALYST 2005
Just got back from a great leadership conference that I originally did
not plan on attending, but if it means spending $150 to chill and catch
up with your best friend who lives 9 hours away... then that's money
well spent... but the conference was worth it in so many ways!
Let me give you the scoop.- Sessions led by: Andy Stanly, John Maxwell, Bill Hybels, and
others which really reignited my desire to serve God (thanks again,
Bill). - Getting all sorts of free stuff from exhibits like a copy of Dave Ramsey's book "Total Money Makeover" (yes, Ramsey's exhibit was giving away free copies of his book... I guess he wants to go back into debt ^^)
- Taking part in an event that will go into the Guiness World Book of Records:
Largest simultaneous whoopie cushion sit or something like that.
Yes, about 9000 people sat on whoopie cushions at the same time at the
Gwinnet Civic Center... sorry Quad City (former record holders)... as Smokey likes to say "you just got knocked the funk out!" - Running into Justin (instant jealousy from all my Taejon readers)
This past weekend was homecoming at TFC. It was pretty cool to
walk back on the hollowed grounds of my alma mater (stupid
moles). Hard to believe that when I left the current seniors were
only freshmen... *shakes head* It was nice to see people, but for
the most part, just hanging with Trent and Matt with their respective
spouses and running into some familiar faces.
TOP LEFT: Chappy & Trent TOP RIGHT: Trent, Liz, Christie, Amanda and Connie
BOTTOM LEFT: Running into a familiar face BOTTOM RIGHT: Let's see what's shakin' with B
I went to to last Wednesday's SMF
meeting and I only recognized 2 people there... it was kinda
disheartening to know that after this year nobody will know who I am
*very ego-centric sigh*. The two girls in prayer band wanted to
know where I transferred from. All in all, it was nice, glad to
see B if only for a few minutes... too bad her roommate (lazy sack) had to work and didn't come. Shoutout to Sarah for doing a good job serving punch at the reception.Well, more later... my bed is reminding me that I've got church in a couple hours.

All I know is that has to be one huge whoopie cushion to get that many butts on it.
I'm not saying your fat, just saying 9000 behinds and 1 whoopie cushion... you do the math.
