FOOT-BAEL
Since I got back to the States I’ve been a tad overboard in regards to football (now that I can actually enjoy it during normal hours rather than say 3-4 am Korean time). It has sorta become like an idol in my life and that generally is not swell. So I read my Bible and pray that the swelling goes down…
HOW INVITING…
More mad props to B and her roomie for the sweet invite to their halloween party. Hope Rach and I can make it.

MORE CATALYTIC REACTIONS
Here are some more pictures from Catalyst 2005. Yes, this gal should be kicking herself for missing it ^^
TOP LEFT: Nosebleed seats TOP RIGHT: John Maxwell & Bill Hybells
BOTTOM LEFT: The Catalyst worship band BOTTOM RIGHT: Stage shot of the crowdThe worship band
was incredible, typically you would expect bands to play Christian
songs and good worship bands to play new stuff… but this band played
it all. They sang “Kyrie” and sounded exactly like Mister Mister
(they probably could have fooled this child of the 80s) along with other songs that I would have needed said child to help me out. They were by far the best group I have ever heard.TAKE A RIGHT
I read from Psalm 1:4-6 today over lunch and the verse that struck me was “[God] watches over the path of the righteous…“.
Everyone goes down the road God lays before them; the God is with the
righteous by guiding them around/through obstacles in the way meanwhile
the wicked perish. Righteousness comes from believing and so on
our daily path I need a discerning ear to hear God’s instructions, an
open heart to believe and a strength from Him to make it through.<><

CATALYST 2005
Just got back from a great leadership conference that I originally did
not plan on attending, but if it means spending $150 to chill and catch
up with your best friend who lives 9 hours away… then that’s money
well spent… but the conference was worth it in so many ways!
Let me give you the scoop.- Sessions led by: Andy Stanly, John Maxwell, Bill Hybels, and
others which really reignited my desire to serve God (thanks again,
Bill). - Getting all sorts of free stuff from exhibits like a copy of Dave Ramsey’s book “Total Money Makeover” (yes, Ramsey’s exhibit was giving away free copies of his book… I guess he wants to go back into debt ^^)
- Taking part in an event that will go into the Guiness World Book of Records:
Largest simultaneous whoopie cushion sit or something like that.
Yes, about 9000 people sat on whoopie cushions at the same time at the
Gwinnet Civic Center… sorry Quad City (former record holders)… as Smokey likes to say “you just got knocked the funk out!” - Running into Justin (instant jealousy from all my Taejon readers)
This past weekend was homecoming at TFC. It was pretty cool to
walk back on the hollowed grounds of my alma mater (stupid
moles). Hard to believe that when I left the current seniors were
only freshmen… *shakes head* It was nice to see people, but for
the most part, just hanging with Trent and Matt with their respective
spouses and running into some familiar faces.

I went to to last Wednesday’s SMF
meeting and I only recognized 2 people there… it was kinda
disheartening to know that after this year nobody will know who I am
*very ego-centric sigh*. The two girls in prayer band wanted to
know where I transferred from. All in all, it was nice, glad to
see B if only for a few minutes… too bad her roommate (lazy sack) had to work and didn’t come. Shoutout to Sarah for doing a good job serving punch at the reception.Well, more later… my bed is reminding me that I’ve got church in a couple hours.

PRETTY FRY FOR A WHITE GUY
Saturday was the annual Gray family Fish Fry.
Much fun, fish (including large shrimp, and calamari) and
football was had by all! Since I returned from Korea, I thought I
would go a lifetime without anything seafood… but props to my dad for
fryin’ like a villain, it all was great. Rachel got to meet my
sister, her husband and my nephews. I’ll try to post some pics
later on (taken by Lindsey).GIVE ME THAT OLD TIME RELIGION
Monday night Bible study from DCF met at the pastor’s house, communion
was shared and it was nice. A couple shared from Psalm 23 and it
was good as well. “He will lead me on paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” I
realized how much David meditated on the attributes and personality of
God. With so many warped views of God, getting into the Psalms
and reading about who God is very refreshing. I need to go
through the Psalms more often. Spiritual revivals are good for
the soul.DRAWING TO A CLOSE
Mucho ultra maddest props to B for finding my old drawings
I made for
her back from ol’ TFC days. Those were good & simple
times. Thanks for the nostalgia ^^ For those who weren’t there,
its lots of inside jokes but plain and simple stuff… if you don’t
like it… then tough. Its late… g’night all.<><
