  • SEVEN YEAR NICHE
Today was my final in A&P... I am afraid to even guess what I made.  About mid-way through the semester my heart just was not in it.  As of today I am no longer a student at GTC... Lord willing I hope to take some classes in computer technology (networking) sometime in the not-too distant future.

I confessed to Rachel that one of my biggest fears is not knowing what to do with my life.  I watched Last Holiday with Dan and it was a pretty good movie.  I'm not a huge Queen Latifah fan but the movie was well done.  Basically Latifah, who is a coupon clipper penny pincher, finds out she has a terminal disease and has 3 weeks to live so decides to splurge all her money and make her dream a reality.  Moral of the story, life is too short to be afraid to enjoy it.  If you haven't seen it go rent it.

Back to my confession, this fear has truly eaten away at me since college.  What is out there?  What is there to do?  Its bad enough that when people ask me what my future plans are and I cannot give any concrete plans its like I feel judged as a lesser person for not getting my act together.  Do I have a niche?  Rachel seems to think so and she's willing to help me find it (God bless her soul).

    BIRTHDAY GIRL!
If you see this girl in the next 50 minutes, give her 25 whatevers... I got mine in early, as you can see...

  • will...you're inspiring.

  • Well... its not everyday one gets to beat on a 25 year old Hawaiian girl

  • haha hands to youself ^^

  • Hay Will!!! I just watched last holiday the other night. it was really good.
you'll figure out the whole job thing soon...God will put you where he wants you.

what bday song did you sing the other day? It was kinda a blur... thanks for the birthday props!!

  • will, i wanted to say "thanks" for the wedding invite and i wish you all of God's best!  as far as your fear of not knowing, you ain't alone!

  • I think you're inspiring because of several things:

    a. you're a good friend
    b. you've shown that perseverance in prayer pays off (family)
    c. you're marrying an amazing woman
    d. you're honest/authentic

and as far as the job thing goes...cool. like bethany said, "you'll figure out the whole job thing soon...God will put you where he wants you." I agree with her whole-heartedly. and who knows, maybe what you're supposed to do with your life will encompass a whole lot of things instead of just one job. I think we like the stability of the idea that we will do one thing, but God may have a ton of experiences for us. We change...it's part of the growing that we do in Christ, and maybe what you do now may not be what you desire to do in a year or even five or ten years. and I think it's beautiful...because it means we have to trust God more.

  • Hey Will...I hope you get it figured out, but even if you don't anytime soon, it's not like you're abnormal. I think that's one humanity biggest fears--what to do next in life...
